Methodology: An integrated approach

PIP contributes to sustainable development and poverty alleviation by safeguarding the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries share in the EU market. PIP's actions are based on 3 main areas :

• Supporting ACP operators to conform to, and meet, EU requirements.
• Improving the operating environment of ACP companies (ACP consultants, trainers, producer organisations, public sector service providers, training institutes and public-private stakeholder platforms) to create a competent ACP expertise in food safety and sustainability.
• Improving conditions for market access: challenging the standards & regulations.
