New additions to Annex 1
During recent meetings of the EC Standing Committee on Phytopharmaceuticals, the following substances have been included in Annex 1 (* denotes entry into force from June 2011):

Of particular interest to PIP are those included in the PIP Technical Itineraries and Guides; some of these are indicated above in bold.
The insecticide buprofezin, which is also recommended in some itineraries, was non-included in 2008; it was submitted for re-evaluation and subsequently re-introduced, with entry into force from 1st February 2011. Recent non-inclusions include: flurprimidol, propisochlor, dichlobenil and dicloran. As yet there is no opinion on asulam; a decision will be taken through the appeals committee linked to the new comitology procedures.
